If you've ever thought:
"Nothing I try seems to help - am I doing something wrong?"
“Why does my child melt down over the smallest things?”
“Every day feels like walking on eggshells… I’m exhausted.”
“I just want to help my child, but I don’t know where to start.”
“The advice I get from others doesn’t work for my kid.”
You’re not alone and your child isn’t broken.
You’re Doing Your Best - But It Still Feels So Hard
You’ve tried everything you can think of: reward charts, deep breaths, new routines, advice from friends or social media, but nothing seems to stop the meltdowns.
Some days you stay calm, other days you lose it too… and then feel guilty afterward.
You’re constantly guessing “Is this behaviour or sensory?” and wishing someone could just tell you what to do in the moment.
Here’s the truth: you’re not failing, and your child isn’t GIVING you a hard time; they are HAVING a hard time.
Most parenting advice doesn’t work because it focuses on managing behaviour instead of supporting the nervous system.
That’s why even with all your effort, things still feel out of control.
The good news? Once you understand what your child’s behaviour is trying to tell you and you have a few simple tools to respond, everything starts to change.
Without expensive appointments or complicated plans you’ll never have time to follow.
Just clear, compassionate steps that help your child and you feel
safe, connected, and calm again.
That's exactly why I created the Sensory Calm Toolkit
To help you stop overthinking and start feeling confident again.
Go from chaos to calm with simple tools that actually work
Once you understand what your child’s behaviour is really trying to tell you, you’ll know exactly how to respond with calm instead of chaos.
I'm giving you an easy-to-follow system that helps your child calm down, and puts you back in the "driver's seat".
No more guilt or second-guessing yourself.
So you can finally enjoy more peaceful days with fewer battles and meltdowns.
Even if you don’t have hours of free time, a therapy background, or a perfectly structured home, you can use these tools in just minutes a day.
You’ll feel confident in knowing exactly what to do and say when your child’s sensory system goes into overload. No more guessing, guilt, or Google spirals.
This is the step that turns survival into connection.
It's really simple, here's how it works:
Step 1:
Print Your Handouts
Keep them somewhere you’ll see it often, on the fridge, beside your desk, or wherever those difficult moments tend to happen. It’s your quick reminder when things start to feel overwhelming. It guides you step-by-step and even gives you a script.
Step 2:
Watch the videos
Each short video walks you through how to use the tools & strategies with real-life examples in just a few minutes, so you understand what's happening and feel confident knowing exactly what to do when your child needs support during a meltdown.
Step 3:
Try the Strategies
Experiment with the tools & strategies together with your child during a calm moment. Each one takes just minutes to use. Notice what works, what feels good, and how your child responds so you are prepared and confident in the heat of the moment, when big emotions arise.

YOU NEED A SIMPLE step-by-step PLAN that addresses the root cause of your child's meltdown.
You Need a Plan That Works in Real Life
You need a way to stay calm and help your child regulate, even when the noise, the crying, and the chaos feel impossible.
You need to understand what your child’s sensory system is really asking for so you can respond with confidence instead of confusion.
In a world of parenting advice that tells you to “set boundaries” or “just stay consistent,” you need something that fits your child's actual needs.
You need support that’s clear, compassionate, and backed by real OT strategies,
not one-size-fits-all discipline tips.
Stop the meltdowns faster and bring calm back into your home.
Without hours of research.
Without expensive therapy sessions.
Without second-guessing yourself every time your child melts down.
Most people talk about “fixing behaviour,” but that misses the point.
Meltdowns aren’t misbehaviour. They’re a sign that your child’s nervous system is overloaded.
That’s why I built you The Sensory Calm Toolkit - a simple, evidence-informed resource that helps you bring calm back to your home in just a few days.
This is the same brain and framework behind the work I do with my private OT clients to reduce meltdowns, rebuild connection, and teach regulation through safety and sensory understanding.
It gives you four simple tools you can start using today so you can:
- Feel confident in how you respond to your child
- See fewer meltdowns and faster recovery times
- Create a calmer, more peaceful home for everyone

❤️ Quick tools for everyday moments
Easy strategies you can use anywhere: at home, in the supermarket, or out in public, to help your child (and you) reset faster.
The Calm Toolkit helps your child by teaching you how to respond in ways that calm their nervous system, not just manage their behaviour.
Each tool inside the Toolkit gives you simple, practical ways to spot what’s really triggering your child’s meltdowns, whether it’s sensory overload, frustration, hunger or emotional overwhelm. When you use these tools, your child starts to feel seen, safe, and supported instead of corrected or punished.
As their nervous system begins to feel calmer, you’ll notice fewer meltdowns, smoother transitions, and faster recovery after big emotions. Over time, your child learns that it’s safe to have feelings and that you’re their calm place when things get hard.
The Calm Toolkit is for parents who love their child deeply but feel stuck in constant meltdowns, power struggles, and guilt. It’s for you if you’ve already tried all the advice: the reward charts, new routines, and deep breaths, but nothing seems to stick.
It’s especially helpful for parents who suspect their child may have sensory sensitivities, big emotions, or challenges with self-regulation, and want to understand what’s really going on beneath the behaviour.
You don’t need to be a parenting expert. You just need to be ready for things to feel calmer, more connected, and more manageable at home.
The Calm Toolkit works best for parents of children roughly between ages 2 and 10, the years when big feelings, meltdowns, and sensory overload can feel overwhelming.
Parents often notice small changes within days: more connection, fewer battles, and shorter meltdowns. As you keep using the tools, those calm moments grow and last longer. While most children are not able to fully SELF-regulate until the age of 7, you can start early by modelling and teaching them strategies to regulate their nervous system.
Yes. The Calm Toolkit was designed with all kids in mind, especially those with sensory sensitivities, ADHD, or autism. It focuses on understanding what’s happening in your child’s nervous system so you can respond in ways that actually help them feel safe. Your child does not have to be verbal for these tools to work.
Yes, the Sensory Calm Toolkit was created for exactly these moments.
Aggressive meltdowns often happen when a child’s nervous system is overwhelmed and they don’t yet have the skills to express what they feel or need. The Toolkit helps you understand what’s happening beneath the surface, so instead of reacting to the aggression, you’ll know how to respond in ways that calm your child’s body and emotions.
You’ll learn how to spot early signs of sensory overload, use simple tools to lower stress before it explodes, and stay grounded yourself when things get intense.
Many parents who’ve used the Toolkit say it’s the first time they’ve been able to move from fear and frustration to calm and confidence, even during their child’s biggest meltdowns.
You might be able to. It depends on your child’s funding plan and how the Autism Funding Unit (AFU) classifies training expenses.
The Sensory Calm Toolkit is considered a parent education and training resource, which helps you support your child’s regulation and behaviour at home. AFU allows families to use a portion of their funding (up to 20%) for training and educational materials, things like books, videos, and workshops that directly support a child’s development.
Because every child’s plan is unique, approval isn’t guaranteed. We recommend you contact your AFU case manager to ask if parent training resources like The Sensory Calm Toolkit qualify under your funding. If needed, we can provide a detailed receipt and description outlining how the Toolkit supports emotional regulation and sensory development goals.
Many families have successfully used autism funding for similar parent-training resources, but it’s best to confirm with your case manager before purchasing.
Most advice focuses on stopping the behaviour. The Calm Toolkit helps you understand why it’s happening and gives you tools that calm your child’s nervous system, so the behaviour naturally starts to change.
You don’t need hours. Each video is short, clear, and practical. You will learn in just a few minutes and then you can use the tools right away in real moments with your child.
That’s great. It means you’re already doing the hard work to support your child.
The Calm Toolkit builds on what you may have already learned from professionals like OTs or BIs. Instead of adding more complex strategies, it helps you connect the dots between what’s happening in your child’s nervous system and what to do in the moment. These tools complement therapy beautifully. They help you respond calmly at home and support the progress your child is already making in sessions.
You’ll get simple, easy-to-follow tools that make it clear why your child reacts the way they do and how to respond calmly, even on the hardest days. Many parents who’ve worked with therapists say The Calm Toolkit finally helps everything “click” and feel doable at home. It can also complement the work your OT and BI does and can be used within a therapy session to help your child regulate in difficult moments.
The Sensory Calm Toolkit is a self-paced resource designed to help you understand and support your child’s sensory and emotional needs at home. It does not include 1:1 sessions with an occupational therapist.
That said, everything inside the Toolkit is created with the same strategies OTs use in practice, so you’ll still get practical, evidence-informed tools you can start using right away.
If you ever decide you’d like more personalized support, the Toolkit gives you a strong foundation to bring into your next therapy session. You’ll already understand the language of regulation, sensory triggers, and calm strategies, which helps you get even more out of 1:1 work with your child’s therapist.
